Made to Last Forever!
This life is not all there is. Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal before the real production. We will spend far more time in eternity than we will here on earth. We were made to last forever!
Is that something you think about often? In our busy, stressed and noisy world, we have all we can do to focus on what needs to be done in the here and now! Who has time to think about eternity? We may not think we have the time, but it's definitely worth considering.
When you realize there is more to life than just the here and now and that life is preparation for eternity, three things will happen. Listen to today's lesson to see what they are.
When you grasp the idea that, compared with eternity, we are only on earth for a brief time, the things and activities you deem so important will look different. The basis for which you make decisions will change. You'll start to put more emphasis on eternal values/activities instead of temporary, useless ones. "All that is not eternal is eternally useless." - C.S. Lewis
Great quote from today's lesson and one to ponder: "You will not be in heaven two seconds before you cry out, "Why did I place so much importance on things that were so temporary? Why did I waste so much time, energy and concern on things that were not going to last? What was I thinking." (Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life, page 54.)

I have never really had the pleasure of knowing a carefree life...not even as a child. I see this now as a blessing. I understood at an early age that I could die, and I wanted to be with Jesus Christ when I did.I try to live more and more to serve God and eliminate vain pursuits. I live to spend more money supporting programs to get people interested in a relationship with God and being active at church.
